10 Ways To Improve Your Workout Results Immediately

1.       Do a foam rolling routine to maintain your soft tissue.  This will help you work through your full range of motion to gain maximum strength.

2.       Take a post workout drink of 1/3 protein/carbohydrate ratio within 20 minutes after your workout.

3.       Be prepared- organize your exercise routine before you get to the gym so you do not repeat workouts or lollygag around wondering what to do.

4.       Change your workout routine often, “the best program is the one you’re not on” to quote Mike Boyle.

5.       Sleep, try for 7-8 hours each night, most people are sleep deprived.

6.       Take a high quality multi vitamin.

7.       Eat protein with every meal or snack.

8.       Stay hydrated-drink plenty of water and if you drink a caffeinated beverage follow it up with an extra glass of water.

9.       Take a high quality Essential Fatty Acid supplement –some of the numerous benefits directly related to your workout are, strengthening your joints and heart and healthy nervous system function.

10.   Schedule a fitness assessment with a qualified trainer to find out what exercises are specific to your needs.

These tips are in no specific order.  They are designed to help anyone who is exercising to get the maximum benefit in the shortest amount of time.  These tips can be implemented by all athletes regardless if you are on a strength program, rehabilitative program, endurance athlete or fat loss program.
